# Special Orders

> Track a one-off pair you're sourcing for a specific customer — from their request, to ordering it in, to handing it over.

Track a one-off pair you're sourcing for a specific customer — from their request, to ordering it in, to handing it over.

**Where to find it:** [Open Special Orders in AIM](https://aimventory.com/special-orders) — you will be asked to sign in first.

## What you can do here

* Log a customer's request for a specific shoe, size, and the location they'll pick it up from
* Record what you'll charge them and what it costs you, so you can see the profit
* Set how urgent it is so you know what to source first
* Move the order along its stages: requested, ordered, then fulfilled

<Tip title="Real-world example">
  A regular asks for a Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low in size 10. You'll sell it for $1,400 and can source it for $1,050 — log it, set urgency High, and name the customer.
</Tip>

## How to: Move an order from requested to fulfilled

1. Click the pencil icon on the order's row to edit it.
2. Once you've placed the order with your supplier, change the status to "Ordered".
3. When the pair is in hand and given to the customer, change the status to "Fulfilled".
4. Save your changes.

<Tip title="Real-world example">
  After buying that size 10 from a connect, set it to "Ordered". When the customer picks it up, set it to "Fulfilled".
</Tip>

## How to: Edit, cancel, or remove an order

1. Use the pencil icon to fix any detail (price, size, urgency, status).
2. If the customer backs out, edit the order and set its status to "Cancelled".
3. Use the trash icon to delete an order you no longer need to keep a record of.

<Tip title="Real-world example">
  The customer changes from size 10 to 10.5 before you order. Edit the size and cost. If they later back out, mark the order Cancelled so the history remains instead of deleting it.
</Tip>

## Good to know

* Sale price minus purchase price is your profit on the pair — fill both in to keep that accurate.
* Urgency is just a priority flag for you; it doesn't change anything automatically.
* If the customer paid through your Shopify store, paste that order number in the "Shopify Order" field to tie the two together.
