Stock Check

A counter-side lookup: scan or type a pair and instantly see every size you have, what it costs you, what it sells for, and which location it is sitting in.

What you can do here

• Scan a box barcode or type a product name or SKU to pull up a pair
• See every size with stock, side by side, with a column for each of your locations
• Read off the selling price and your average cost per size while the customer waits
• Stack up several pairs in one list so you can answer a few questions in a row
• Hide locations you do not care about right now, and clear the list when you are done

Buttons, fields, and controls

Control	Where	What it does	When to use it
Search box (“Search by product name, SKU, or barcode…”)	Top of the page — it is focused automatically when the page opens	Looks up pairs you actually have in stock. Typing two or more letters shows a dropdown of matching products; scanning a barcode with a single match adds that product to the list on its own.	Use it the moment a customer asks about a shoe — grab the box and scan it, or type the name if you only have the shoe in hand.
Clear search (x inside the search box)	Right edge of the search box	Empties what you typed and closes the dropdown, without touching the pairs already on the page.	Use it when you mistyped, or when a scan picked up stray characters.
Search results dropdown	Directly under the search box	Lists matching products with their picture, brand, and a total unit count. Clicking one adds it to the page.	Use it when a name matches several shoes (for example “Dunk Low”) and you need to pick the right colorway.
Locations row	Above the results, shown once you have checked something and have more than one location	One chip per location. Clicking a chip hides or shows that location’s column in every result below. Your choice is remembered on this computer.	Use it at a single store so the counter only sees its own shelf, instead of scrolling past warehouse columns.
Size table (Size / Box / Price / Cost / one column per location / Total)	Right side of each product card	Shows only the sizes that currently have stock. Price is your retail price for that size, Cost is your average cost, each location column is that shelf’s count, and Total is the count across every location.	Read it out loud to the customer for availability, and use the Cost column when you are deciding whether you can discount.
Box column	Size table — only appears when a size has a box condition recorded	Shows the box condition on that size, such as a good box or a damaged box.	Check it before quoting a price on a pair whose box may not be perfect.
”C” tag and “O” count on a size row	Next to the size, and next to the total count	Marks how many of those units are consigned (C) versus owned by you (O).	Check it before discounting — a consigned pair is not yours to mark down without talking to the consignor.
Product picture	Left side of each product card	Opens a larger product summary so you can confirm you are looking at the right colorway.	Use it when two colorways of the same silhouette have nearly identical names.
Remove product (x on a product card)	Far right of each product card	Takes that one product off the page.	Use it once you have answered that question and want the screen tidy.
Clear all (trash icon)	Top right of the page header, shown only once you have checked something	Clears every product from the page and puts the cursor back in the search box.	Use it between customers so the next lookup starts on a clean screen.

How to: Check a size for a customer at the counter

1. Open Quick Actions → Inventory Search. The cursor is already in the search box.
2. Scan the barcode on the box, or type the product name or SKU and pick the shoe from the dropdown.
3. Find the size in the table and read the Total column, plus the column for your store.
4. If the size is not listed at all, you have none in stock — only sizes with stock are shown.

A customer asks for the Jordan 1 “Bred” in a 9.5. Scan the box: the table shows 9.5 with 2 at Main Store and 1 at Warehouse, Price $220, Cost$148.

How to: Look up several pairs in a row

1. Scan or search the first pair — it drops onto the page as a card.
2. Scan or search the next pair without clearing anything; the newest one lands on top.
3. Compare the cards on screen while the customer decides.
4. Remove a single card with its x, or clear the whole screen with the trash icon in the header.

A customer is choosing between the Dunk Low Panda and the Dunk Low Grey Fog — scan both boxes and show them the sizes you have of each, side by side.

How to: Focus on one store’s shelf

1. Check any pair so the Locations row appears.
2. Click the chip for every location you do not want to see — dimmed chips are hidden.
3. The location columns disappear from every card, but the Total column still counts every location.
4. Your hidden locations stay hidden the next time you open this page on this computer.

At the Charlotte counter, hide “Warehouse” and “Indianapolis” so staff only read the Charlotte column and never promise a pair that is three states away.

Good to know

• Only sizes with stock are listed. A missing size means zero on hand, not a loading problem.
• If you scan a barcode nothing matches, you get a “not found” message and the box clears itself — the pair either is not in your catalog or has no barcode saved yet.
• The Total column adds up every location, including ones you have hidden — so it can be higher than the columns you can see.
• This page is read-only. Nothing you do here changes counts; to add stock use Single Product Intake or a purchase order.
