Write your listing title and description once, with blanks that AIM fills in per product, instead of retyping them for every pair.
Where to find it: Open Listing Templates in AIM — you will be asked to sign in first.
What you can do here
- Write one title and description that works for hundreds of products
- Use variables as blanks — the product name, brand, SKU, and size get filled in automatically
- Limit a template to certain brands, product types, or conditions
- Set a default template so anything without a specific one still gets sensible copy
- Review and queue one template across selected Shopify stores and eBay accounts
How to: Write your first listing template
- Give it a name and choose the Platform Type.
- Click “Start from an example” so you have a working template to edit.
- Replace the wording with your own, keeping the variables where product details belong.
- Check the preview underneath — it shows the template filled in with real product details.
- Tick “Set as default template” if this is the one that should cover everything else.
- Save.
A template reading “{brand} {product_name} — Size {size}” comes out as “Nike Dunk Low Panda — Size 10.5” on the actual listing.
How to: Use different wording for pre-owned pairs
- Create a second template named something like “Pre-owned”.
- Write the copy with the condition wording you want buyers to see.
- Under Settings, set the Condition Filter to your pre-owned condition.
- Leave “Set as default template” unticked — the default stays your general one.
- Save. Pre-owned products now use this template and everything else keeps the default.
Your standard template says “Brand new, deadstock”. The pre-owned one says “Worn, see photos — box included” so buyers are not surprised.
How to: Bulk-apply a template to provider accounts
- From Listing Templates settings, click “Fan out templates”.
- Choose the template, explicit Shopify stores or eBay accounts, output fields, and any product filters.
- Click “Create dry-run plan” and review the provider-target rows before approving anything.
- Type the exact confirmation phrase, add an approval reason, set the failure-rate cap, and click “Approve and queue writes”.
- Watch the run status until the provider writes finish. The workflow changes title and description only; inventory and publication state are untouched.
Use a pre-owned template for a selected set of products, review every Shopify or eBay target, then approve the exact plan once the rows look right.
Good to know
- Check the preview before saving. It shows the template filled in with a real product, which is the only reliable way to spot a variable in the wrong place.
- Keep one default template. Without it, products that match no template get listed with empty copy.
- A template controls what a listing says. Where it gets listed is Listing Rules, and what it costs is Pricing Rules.
