What you can do here

Buttons, fields, and controls

Shopify store	Left control panel	Select an AIM-connected store for optional barcode, product, variant, and image evidence.	Select it when you want enrichment; it never replaces values from the CSV.
Run dry run	Page header	Parses and groups the CSV without creating a session or writing inventory.	Run this first, and again whenever you change the source file or store selection.
Create review session	Page header	Creates the review workspace after the dry-run counts and source fields look correct.	Use only after the source has been reviewed and the import has been approved to proceed.

How to: Run a safe dry run

1. Choose the original Copyt CSV and confirm the selected business is the intended tenant.
2. Optionally choose the connected Shopify store for read-only evidence.
3. Click “Run dry run” and wait for the summary to finish.
4. Check the record count, grouped-item count, unique-title count, title batches, locations, and condition vocabulary before continuing.

A source with 976 rows can group into fewer inventory items and 17 title batches. That is a review plan, not permission to import every row.

How to: Review a title batch

1. Choose one title batch and use the search or review filter to narrow the table.
2. Treat the CSV title, SKU, size, quantity, condition, packaging, location, price, and cost as authoritative.
3. Use Shopify matches and images as evidence only; investigate mismatches instead of copying Shopify values over the CSV.
4. Approve the batch only when the source rows and any required AIM matches are understood.

If a title batch shows a Shopify size mismatch, keep the CSV size for the review and record the mismatch for the operator to resolve before import.

How to: Import an approved batch

1. Create a review session after the dry run is accepted.
2. Map the source location to the correct AIM location and review any recommendations.
3. Select only the approved rows in the current title batch.
4. Import the selected batch, then verify the resulting AIM inventory and Shopify state separately.

After reviewing one batch and mapping its Warehouse rows to an AIM location, import that batch alone and leave the remaining batches untouched.

Good to know

• A dry run is read-only: it should not create a Copyt session, generate recommendations, write inventory, or mutate Shopify.
• A connected Shopify store is not enough for enrichment. Shopify evidence is available only after AIM has a published, complete catalog source.
• If Shopify enrichment is unavailable, continue with the CSV-only review and hold the image/match enrichment work for a later catalog acquisition.
• Do not split, rename, or rewrite the source CSV to make batches. Batching is a review filter over the complete file.
